FundShift is a 3-week event providing nonprofit leaders and philanthropists an opportunity to connect, create, and commit to further radically shift the narrative in philanthropy towards greater transparency, co-creation, and improvement.
Each FundShift will focus on a specific gap area such as labelling; positionality; communication barriers; authentic expectations; grant applications & fund distribution pathway. Overall, conversation sessions will aim to deepen our understanding of the shortcomings in the fundraising and fund-giving landscape with the goal of identifying concrete solutions to reimagine and offer solutions for change.
Our goals for FundShift are:
To provide a welcoming environment for changemakers in the non-profit and philanthropy spaces to connect with one another at a deeper level without the expectation of asking for or giving money.
To offer opportunities that can uplift the voices of both philanthropists and emerging social change makers so that gaps between these groups can be understood and narrowed.
To recruit commitments from Philanthropists and Nonprofit organizations towards improved communications in the future. The first iteration of this event will focus on the first “stage” of the fundraising process: finding and building relationships.
It will be hosted on November 17 (Connect), December 1 (Create), and December 15 (Commit), 2021.
We are currently scheduled to host this from 8-10 am Mountain Time, and would love to welcome you to the event. Participants are invited to attend each of the sessions as this will be connected conversations. If you would like to attend, please RSVP to me by November 1, 2021, and our team will send you a calendar invite along with some learning materials. For your context, we are currently opening this event for only 10 participants, (five each from the non-profit and philanthropy sectors) and will reserve spots based on first-come-first-serve basis.
